Synopsis

The Scent of Evil is growing stronger in the B12 district.

Richard decides to take the afternoon off college....

In need of suitable refreshment but broke he decides to rob some beer and so

begins an ordinary afternoon in Moseley?

The Scent of Evil was made by The Rage Ensemble @ Birmingham Rathbone at The Urban Film Club. The club gives young people the opportunity to work with professionals to create short films. The young people worked with the director to create the story for The Scent of Evil and assisted behind the camera as well as appearing in the film itself. The Rage Ensemble was started in 2000 by Rage and gives people of all ages the opportunity to work together and create productions using film, theatre and music.

Director – James Webster

The vast majority of James’ career has been as an actor.  During his career, he has worked with and learned from some fantastic directors and a couple of years ago he thought it was about time to put his own directing skills to the test when he directed Hansel & Gretel for Rage since then he has also directed and starred in One Very Amazing Night .

Directing this film was his biggest directorial challenge to date and an opportunity which he relished.

 

Producer – Owen Radmore

Owen was born and raised in Birmingham and lives there today. Since 1996 he has run Rage. He has various interests including:- real ale (When it’s good!), poetry all kinds of music from Kids in Glass Houses to Misty’s Big Adventure. One of his favourite films is The Field and he likes to watch cookery, house design and fashion shows on tv.
